A breath of wind

naturecitytimelove

A breath of wind

Barely a zephyr

Flapping the fine cotton

Of her blouse

As the sail billows uselessly,

Catching a crab

The oarsman felt foolish

His efforts to impress

The becalmed stranger

Sinking slowly

Into the deep

Along with the broken oar

Until he realised

She was laughing

He caught the rope

So gracefully thrown

And hand over hand

She reeled him in

How quickly turn the tables

As in a trice

The breeze picked up

Filling the sail

And so it began

After only the breath

Of a kiss

To freshen the skin

They were adventurers,

Buccaneers, circumnavigators

Of the globe

In search of new worlds

A capricious wind

Blowing, playfully,

More than a whisper

Hot and libidinous

A mysterious Mistral

Propelling them

On the journey

Of a lifetime

And maybe, even longer.
