As gently rolls
lossnaturemusicmemorytimemortality
As gently rolls
The passing cloud
Feather me down
Soft, fluffy insulation
Brushing a fine broom
Over pastel skies
Carry me away
On the back of a Dragonfly
Take me over land and sea
To the farthest shores
Antarctic penguins
Dancing in the moonlight
Practising their dedication
To parenting
Is there any wonder
Left to me
As the dust of ages
Rimes my eyes
Tearful reminiscence
A thing of the past
The well is dry
At world’s end
There are so few wishes
Left to try
When the bell rings
For last supper
Will it bring me back
Or do I stay
Among the clouds
Searching for Neverland
Where lost boys play
For all eternity
Waiting for their Wendy.
