Blame me

griefpoliticstimelovemortalitysolitude

Blame me

If you will

It is an inevitability

When viewed in isolation

Everything stands alone

Braced on solid foundation

Lest it fall

It is a progress

No one can prevent

It is not a gift

Consigned to reward

The well behaved

Or a sentence

Without parole for the

Cruel at heart

It will come upon you

Over time

Or spring from nowhere

A limitation finely felt

A sorrowed realisation

Stripped of beauty

As a life love dies

Is it something

To be afraid of

When burdens are carried

By so many

Contributions

Consistently made

Wisdom earned

Patience learned

It is wasted when

Left to go unheeded

A cloak of invisibility

Is not needed

For the aged

Are never really seen

Take the time

Get to know my story

It could surprise you.
