February 23, 2024Poem
Carry her
naturetime
Carry her
Set her down beneath a tree
There is room enough
For you and she
To watch the days go by.
The sun flies
Seasons change
And as leaves fall
They will be golden.
Over the sea
Where fish swim
And teem
Flickering
In and out of sunbeams,
There is a world
Less easily differentiated.
Famine amid plenty
A lust for blood
And hatred
As all the while
You both will lie
Honeyed in bliss,
Forever
