Colour me in.
Colour me in.
There is a simplicity
To the skyline
Even when a complex design
Is sketched alongside
A coconut tree
A unicorn in a playground
An elephant in front
Of an office block
A sun wearing a smile
Sports dark glasses
As a wobbly rainbow
Arcs over
The spire of a
Lego built Cathedral
Coloured yellow
And blue
A bridge over the river
A ship with no crew
Just a man
With a patch
And a wooden leg
Every time a figure
Is drawn
With a smiley face
Pigtails and tiny feet
Eating Ice cream
That melts in the heat
A dog on a lead
Walked by a man
Dressed in brown tweed
The day looks brighter
If only we saw
The world through
A small child’s eye
The river
Would never run dry
Or break its banks
The rich would give money
To strangers
Without any thanks
There would be no fear
Scarce any dangers
We would all wear a happy face
And the world would
Surely be
A far better place.
