Do you remember

naturemusicpoliticsmemorytimelove

Do you remember

Dancing at midnight

On a floodlit stage

Beneath the stars

Cheek to cheek

Exhausted after learning

How to dance to the music

Of Zorba the Greek

Making love in the dark

Of a quaint island night

With no light pollution

Guiding our way home

By moonglow

Lifting you up

Onto a wall

We stood together

Gazing into the future

Believing

We could see further

Than forever

Before running across

A deserted beach

Diving from an old sailboat

Swimming naked

In a balmy sea

Fairy lights twinkling

From the roof

Of an ancient taverna

Just to remind us

Of where we were

Lying awake

All night wrapped

In each others arms

Because we could

Civilisation

Was a backward

Glance

Scrambled eggs

Never tasted so good

We were happy

To enjoy the simple things

Even daylight

Seemed broader, brighter

How could that be true

Was the world

So much prettier

Or was it you.
