Earthwatch.

Earthwatch.

Open your eyes

Look at the sky

In all its grandeur

Listen to the trees

Filter down promises

Before the breaking

Softly yielding flesh

There are no hard hearts

Every hero

Was a child

Weeping mothers

Wail for lost boys

And girls

There is no better

Reason to think twice

Than the sound of

Desperation

It is suffocating

The air searing

Parched lips

Burning spears

Tearing at the soul

Leaving scars

Branded into

The fulness of sorrow

As the sky glows

We stand before the furnace

It is hotter than

The very gates of hell

Do you hear the bell

It will stop

When the fire in you

Has burned down

The last embers

Have been extinguished

And the dirt

Beneath your feet

Has grown cold.
