Eucalyptus leaves

Eucalyptus leaves

Caught in the sun

Winking in the wind

Sparkling as diamonds

Glittering the sky

Proud trees bowing

With respect

As the eagle flies

Swallows swoop

In harmony

Playing with each other

What do they think

As they whirl

In and out of shadow

How do they see this game

Passing over the frame

Of my panoramic

Reference

From one extreme

To another

In the flash

Of a wing tip

Would that it was me

Searching

For safe haven

A shelter

A warm nest

Within which

You and I could grow

Old together

Wiping the pain

Of expression

From a saddening face

There is hope

Heard in the sound

Of wild birds singing

Love songs

Innocence

Breathes magic

The tinkle of laughter

Little children playing

In a garden

Haloed in fairied dust

Imagining Camelot

And for a moment

My cup

Runneth over with

Sweet Ambrosia

An elixir

Rich with love

And the scent of life
