Even now
How deeply felt
The hand placed
Upon my chest
‘Your pain will go on’
Remembered so well
The words dwell
Deep within my heart
Even now
The hammer blow
The disbelief
My love is dead
There is no relief
The pain goes on
With every breath
Of my living
Her death
Still, so deeply lies
Within me.
