Even when troubled

naturecitymusicmemorytimelove

Even when troubled

You indulge me

Supporting my foibled ways

Holding our bonded hearts

Together, in mind.

And with every

Kindness freely given

I am humbled.

The world rumbles

Its discontent

And everywhere,

Even in the aging of

Old bones,

There is pain.

With little gain for the many

Who seek it, happiness

Is a fleeting thing.

A shadow for some,

Slipping through fingers.

With no form to guide them,

Too many follow the wrong horse.

Traverse blind alleys.

Trail in the wake of

Meandering carnivals,

And empty caravans.

Journey unaccompanied,

To unknown destinations,

Travel less in expectation

And more in fear.

Hope was a bridge,

Burned,

Before

Ever it was found.

And through it all,

Even as the wind blows

The dust of ages past

From out of the rims

Of our bespectacled eyes

Allowing you to see me

As I am,

With so little glory,

You are here.

Oh please,

Do not slip away.

As in truth

We breathe together.

And without breath

Only one thing remains.

We have

So much yet to do.

Living together

Brings a special kind

Of harmony

To the rhythm of our lives.

A synchronicity

That binds us,

With a subtle refrain,

And it blows,

A gentle breeze,

Floating through

Our every days,

With the lightness of the air

We are both here

To live for

And to breathe.
