Grief, the forgotten country

Grief, the forgotten country

Fire arrows

Light up the sky

Burning with emotion

One star less

To travel home by

Cascade waters

Carry me away

To tall ships

On the horizon

Ghostly shadows

Soon to sail away

Beyond the bounds

Of my imagination

Exotically spiced

Salt encrusted

Moonbeams

Dancing on the ocean

As surfed up

Rollers break ranks

Crashing through

The solace

Of a midnight vigil

Spent flames

Fall down

Dying in amber

I walk in ashes

Along a shoreline

And recall

How it feels

To breathe in time

To the music

Written in dreams

As white horses

Splash through shallows

Waiting to lead

A charge

Beyond the furthest point

There is no return

I raise a shield

To protect the soul

Of Albion

Knowing that

This is not yet

The extent

Of the burn

As heroes and the dead

Sing Hallelujah
