Hallowed in silhouette

lossmusicmemorytimemortality

Hallowed in silhouette

Haloed in honey beam

Addressing and undressing me

Brilliant diamonds

Falling from your hair

Blinking out

Like stardust

In a fairy story

When I am the pumpkin.

There are no firm edges

Everything remains

Even as it is lost

The background undecided

The foreground never fixed

There is little comfort

In completion

When what is known

Of gestalt is held in trust

Until the morning

Will you be more than an archetype?

We cling together

Through the ages

Perhaps it is as it should be

A moment of revelation

Stretching out, beyond time

The last thing I remember

Before the fall

Is the first thing I recall

Upon waking

A boxer who has punched

Above his weight

Leaning on the ropes

With no visible means of support

Just a belief

In happy endings.
