He saw it.
lossnaturemusicmemorytime
He saw it.
Even in reflection.
A sunlit glance
Off mirrored glass.
Slicing the sky
With a reminder
Of distance,
And the road show
Of early morning,
Snaking through
The daylight dawning.
He turned away.
It was the past.
And not a place
He chose to go,
Once gone.
In his minds eye
He followed the flight
Of the sun.
It would take all day,
But now,
He had the time.
It was mystifying,
Just how much
He missed before.
When life
Was defined
Along different lines.
So many things,
Taken for granted.
Even a blackbird’s song
Seemed fresh and new.
The sky a deeper,
Blue-full blue.
And every day
Another story,
Filled with wonder,
Beauty, glory.
With the day as its star.
Not work,
Or car.
