How apposite

lossnaturemortality

How apposite

This union of opposites

Life begets death

As left is to right

Up is to down

A Butterfly can upset

The even balance

Finely maintained

As it sways this way

Or that

Finely crafted wings

Delicately drawn

Absorbing light

Reflecting what

Becomes them

Flickering with

Shimmering beauty

In a scatter of atoms

Brighter than a rainbow

Where will it fall

A weight of insignificance

Is still a ripple

In a jam jar

On a shelf in a bedroom

Who decides

When to release it

From confinement

Everything is different

On the outside

Looking in

A reversal of fortune

Still has a way to go

To understand

The scale of its achievement

Even the smallest

Particle has dimension

Dress it down

Or lift it up

Into suspension

From back to front

Or head to tail

There is reunion

Even in opposition

To attraction
