How will I find you
lossnaturememorytimelove
How will I find you
In winter?
Beneath the blanket
Frozen ground is waiting
For a thaw
Snowdrops grow
Out of sight of mourning
In the gloaming
The twilight casts a spell
To bring forth
A glow of recognition
Washed in moonlight
How will I find you
When leafless trees are laden
With magic dust
White as angels
Standing in a garden
Guardians of the promise
Once made, to find you
Even as the woods
Stand dark
There is a sparkle
In a snowflake
It is a wonder we remember
The fragile nature
Of beauty
As snowdrops continue
Pushing through
The darkest loam
Green fingers reaching out
With hope
They will feel the tingle
Of crisply fresh
Springtime air
A sweet kiss of morning
Waiting to enliven them.
