I close my eyes
naturelovemortality
I close my eyes
Before the light dies
It splutters
Just an instant
Of distress from a falling star
Even though the world
Is turning
Magic is my preference
Starlight
Becomes you
The sky is a velvet robe
You wear it is so easily
When did we last
Dance beneath the moon
Were there shadows
Did they embrace
As one
Never to be parted
There is clarity
In the image created
In the brief flare
Of a shooting star
A shower
Of comets falling to earth
In formation
As I open my eyes
I can imagine
In that moment
You are out there
As well as in here.
