I have slipped between pages
lossnaturetimemortalitysolitude
I have slipped between pages
Walked unseen
Through sheets of rain
Stepped into shadows
Climbed upon a tall horse
Rode across a plain
Chanced upon a stranger
On a midnight train
Listened to a silence
That stretched a hundred miles
Swam under the ocean
Beneath a blood-red sky
Stood in awe and wondered
At the moving hands of time
Broken bread with angels
Forgiven every crime
Lost and timeless
A victim by design
Now all I want to see
Is waiting to be seen
And all I ever truly
Want to know
Is all I’ve ever been
