If I fell

lossnaturemusictimeloveidentity

If I fell

It would be into a deep well

Lost in your eyes

An endless flight

Accompanied by raindrops

Red red roses

Heaven sent promises

Riding on the wings of a phoenix

A shower of meteors

Shooting stars as bright as fireworks

Over the Sydney Harbour bridge

There would be a gentle drowning

Of old world spirits

A musical interlude

Symbolic percussion

To heighten the mood

Everything and everyone

Would gather in supplication

Songbirds would scatter in jubilation

Whistling a tune in freeform

All the animals in the world

Would follow

Two by two

Trees would be uprooted

Leaves would spiral

Blossom would add colour

Falling as a rainbow

Neverending wonderment

A comforting disorientation

In weightless flight

Through dark corridors

Brightened in passing

Without a need for simulated gravity

As everything falls at the same rate

A new world

On the far side of a mirror

Where lovers meet

In a secret garden

Old souls well-found

In one entrancing moment

Of acquiescence.
