If I linger

naturemusicpoliticstimelove

If I linger

It would be to wait

Where sky boats kiss the ocean

Light beams scatter

Into a million fireflies

Playing tag

Dreams are buried in sleep dust

Until the time comes

For their awakening

As lovers breathe in time

To their own song

Every step a new dance

A beautiful arrangement

Draped like velvet

Over verdant hills

Circling the majesty

Of a new horizon

Rippling in the haze

Of a summer morning

When everything

Smells as sweet

As fresh-cut grass

With the dew still sparkling

On the greensward

Nothing ever looks like this

Unless it is in a dream

But I will wait

As it feels so real

Nothing stirs the change

Until my eyes

Meet yours

Merging the disparity

Between imagination

And invention
