If it was a dream

lossnaturememorytimemortality

If it was a dream

It felt so real, so true

The carriage waiting

By the tavern

The driver, whip in hand

The lantern burning blue

He carried me

For a long time

Although I knew not where

So many other people

And others never there

The darkness should have lifted

It was the longest ever night

Until we came upon you

By far the brightest light

It was then

Beneath an ocean

Of shadows past and gone

I knew we would find

Avalon

Before this night was done
