It is elusive
lossnaturemusictimelovemortality
It is elusive
Dancing on the wind
Disappearing into shadow
Gone without trace
As the clouds chase
The day away
Sunbeams puncture holes
In the sky
Dust spirals
Caught in flagrante
Dissipate like cigar smoke
Aromatics
Bring me closer
To an understanding
As cherry blossom
Is blown into a flurry
Of pink snow
A velvet carpet
Without a footprint
To lead me home
When the chase ends
Nothing but the tinkle
Of a wind chime
To break the spell
I catch the sound
Hold it for a moment
It trickles
Through my imagination
Leaky as buttered fingers
And is gone
It is elusive
Nothing binds it to me
An image of you
Passing through cheerless
Corridors
Abandoned
Since the last fall
It will soon drift
Into the blue
Unless I can secure it
With the last remaining
Heart string.
