Raise a glass

politicsidentity

Raise a glass

Accept the need

To coexist

With conflict

There is no peace

Without it

Absence of doubt

Hesitation or uncertainty

Is not as desirable

As you might think

When grey is the primary colour

Of complex choice

What we see is not

Always what we need

Clarity is opaque

By and large, truth

Is rarely found

To be impartial

Ask two people

What they think

About a landscape

And in all honesty

They can describe

Two different scenes

Which one do you believe

The one that is closer

To the panorama

You too can visualise

Unless you question

Every facet of your life

There will be no peace

Without conflict

It is in the discernment

Of perspective

Comes the acceptance

Not all is wrong with what

We believe,

Might not be right
