It still reminds me of the Isle of Wight.

It still reminds me of the Isle of Wight.

Confuse me

It is easy how

Light slowly dies

Behind deeply

Drowning eyes

Life is a matter of breathing

But to live

Is more of a promise

Not mine to give

A wish once made

Beyond recall

Perhaps too many

Were granted before

Caution

Came to call

Time changes everything and nothing

All you can do

Is look back

On what once was before you

Run the sequence through

The ending is always

The same

To the madman

A cataract lens sealed

In salt crust tears

At the day’s end

Confusion

Is a heedless heart

A ghostly companion

Somewhere

In the rising

Between bleeding borders of illusion

It lay there

Waiting for its moment

To begin

Patience is patient

In a long game

Is it too much to tell

When all is all

You still

Know my name.
