Look through windows

lossnaturemusicmemorytimemortality

Look through windows

It is time passing

Unfolding in sharp relief

Unruffled by its passage

The air remains

Charged

With potential

Static for a moment

Before the closure

Of the gate

The void

Creating a little whirlpool

In the space between

Then and now

As a few seconds slip by

Who do they support

With significance

When the intent is to follow

With close regard

For the silence

Of eternity

Before the door clicks shut

And the moment is gone.

There is reverence

In the isolation

Between bodies at rest

Reach out

Touch the glass that separates

The spirit from the flesh

Before the rain falls

Washing away

The essence of a story

Is it all that lies

On the other side

What then of time

As the words recede

Am I closer

To the future

Or further from the

Leanings of the past.
