Nobody knows

lossnaturemusicmemorylovesolitude

Nobody knows

How we grow together

The nuance of love

The ebb and flow

Of a conversation

The unspoken

Words once said

Hot with lust

Held in a smile

Across a table secretly,

When to say nothing

Says it all.

Missing

Is a lost word

Its meaning rarely found

Until too late

It is an echo

In an empty space.

Nothing can ever take the place

Of I love you

Swallowed up

In the vacuum of goodbye

Is the meaning

Of a sad song,

Too painful to be heard

In silence.

Nobody knows what it takes

To be alone

With a memory

Until we are caught

Reaching for it.

Sing me a river

It will burst

In a moment

Of sadness

Drown my glass

The familiar

Floating ephemera

Will rupture

And the recollection

Of its structure

Will simply melt away.
