Oh my!
naturemusicmortality
Oh my!
You
Vibrant Hibiscus
Pushing out
Into the footpath
Standing out
From a gaggle
Of disorderly shrubs
Defending their space
Demanding to be noticed
Admired
Fondled.
You bloom
Fleshy and red
A freshly slapped arse
The lush lips of
A bright young thing
Heaven’s holy gate.
I could eat you up
Nibble your bloodless
Mallow
Steal your splendour
Drink deep
Of your tart flavour
Crush your velvet
Petals
A tea leaf
I am
Cutting you off
In your prime
Demeaning your hardiness
With a single snip
