Once touched by love

griefnaturemusicpoliticsmemorylove

Once touched by love

The imprint remains

Heart felt

Tender is the memory

Of yesterday

Forever painted

Into the furthest corners

Brightening shadows

Those dark fingers

Which threaten to colour

Every dream

With sorrow

Soulful truths

Lightly dusted with sugar

To keep the sharp taste

Of bitterness

From sullying the impression

Love is ever present

Nurtured within a single tear

Spilled on a Rose petal

Reddened by desire

Carried on the breeze

The lightest scent

A turnkey to unlock

The perception

Of presence

Even in silence

When the moon

Is a longing sigh

Love is a whisper

With greater power

Than a scream

It grows more familiar

With absence

Imbues a broken heart

With the spirit

To have faith

In love

As a purpose

For miracles

And the wisdom to believe.
