Optical illusions

memorytimeloveidentitymortality

Optical illusions

Pupils fully dilated

An optometrists delight

In the semi-dark

One eye covered

In occlusion

Watching an internal dance

Behind the lens

There is no fine romance

When chemistry is more than

A polite conversation

The iris will pulse

How unsettling a situation

An eye examination

Would be with that complication

Look up to the left

To remember the last time

Your were in that position

Down to the right

To know how you feel

About age-related

Macular degeneration

Although all is well

A new prescription

Is recommended

To help negotiate

The finer details

Of close relationships

Whilst keeping a sharp

Focus on approaching danger

In a darkened room

With a total stranger

Can you even read

The bottom line

It is the price

Of a private consultation

But you still need to

Find your way home

Blinded by naked light

Take it easy

With depth perception

A little bleary

Never drive

Or operate heavy machinery

The future will look bright

All will become clear

Later today

Or maybe tonight
