Perhaps,

naturecitypoliticstimemortality

Perhaps,

If I really was disillusioned

With capitalism

The consumer society

The welfare state

Nimbyism

Corrupt politicians, religious leaders

Bigots and racists

I would live in a cave

Halfway up a mountain

Presuming I could get permission

To reside in seclusion

With only plants

And a great view to keep me company

With no direct access to Weekend warriors

Bible thumpers

Queue jumpers

Or dangerous sports enthusiasts

Perhaps it would make sense

To have a supply of

Fresh running water

A hot shower,

Of course

Good drainage would be essential.

It might be useful

To install

Solar power

With storage capacity

A regular supply of groceries

Access to medication

Medical intervention

Oh! and heating

As it can be cold in winter.

Maybe a wifi connection

For emergencies.

A takeaway food service

A plumber

But no visits from

Social care services

Unless I really need them of course.

However,

They could only visit

Early on a Saturday morning

Or perhaps a Wednesday afternoon

When there is no football

On the television

Well,

Not yet.

Otherwise, they would have to bring a six-pack

As well as a large pepperoni pizza
