Simple phrases

Create grand designs

A view from a window

Is more than

A piece of sky

There is no end

In sight

Even from a rooftop

We may open our eyes

But without

Imagination

Lack the vision

To see what lies beyond

The foreground

Where there is a tall tree

It is not at all lonely

Spending its days

In conversation

With the wild birds

Nesting in numbers

Passing stories

From one perch

To another

There is no animosity

Or division

Between them

As they roost

Just a whisper

Of the distance

Yet to travel

Before their time is come

Whilst the trees

Hold on to their knowledge

And write the books

One leaf

At a time.
