So much is lost
lossnaturemusicmemorytimemortality
So much is lost
In the jumble
Of broken pieces.
Every passing day
Begins and ends
Gazing at the sky
The regularity of design,
Edges falling away
Folding into corners.
All blindspots have
Pinpricks of light
Peepholes tell stories
Caught in camera.
Windows to the infinite
Wonders of the universe
Carried in the clouds.
Every puzzle
Has its own solution
If we understood
The proposition
We could formulate
A question,
Search for an answer.
Travel to the stars
In the time it takes
To live another day,
Find the final piece
Dream another dream
Dance till dawn
Bathe in morning dew
Soak in reflection.
Nothing is won or lost
Without a fight
And the compensation
Of experience
Is a gift
Not to be forgotten.
