Take it back
citytimemortality
Take it back
Call it in
Bring an end to it
Pull the plug
Wrap it up
Tie it in knots
Weigh it down
Fill your boots
With concrete
Let them sink
Deep down
Into the deep
It is nothing
To get hung up over
We are all
Full of it
Everything that is anything
Is a little frayed at the end
We make of life
A noose
Hung out to dry.
Every time
We say goodbye
Another piece is
Chipped away
Sliced off
Flaked
Powdered
Crushed
Dusted.
Micro splintered
Shards of life
Glitter briefly
Splutter
Gutter
To be
Finally
Snuffed
Right out
Every time
I think of you
I am revealed
Unhealed
It is time
To remove the stitches
