Thank god for restraint

naturecitymusictimelove

Thank god for restraint

Without it

I might develop a taste

For leather

Eat an old brown shoe

Whisper, ‘She loves you’

Into the ear

Of a passing stranger

Go barefoot

In the park

Play footsie

Under the table

In a high-class

Restaurant

Where the waiters

Practice their disdain

For the proles

By spitting in the gravy
