The sea is a reflector
naturecitymusicpoliticstimeidentity
The sea is a reflector
Mirror me
In real time
Bending forward to follow
The swish of a flathead
A curious Yabby
Blindly waving
Lean in
Will you reach out
Do we touch
Will we meet
As the water consumes
Us both
Do we keep moving
In thrall to drowning
Wishing it would stop
Too late
In life to be a water baby
Salt my soul
It is in need of rinsing
Do I become you
As you become me
Swim together
Silverfish
Beneath the mirrored
Aspect
Even in shallows
Superficial dreamers
Barely ripple
The fragile
Surface tension
Until in belief
The swallow
Of amalgamation
Is complete
And totally submerged
We are drowned together
As one
