The flap of a feathered wing

naturememorytimelovemortality

The flap of a feathered wing

Carries me high

The gift of pain

Brings me closer

Nothing is as real

As a memory

When the heart leaps

Salmon are more than

A godsend to the hungry

A lesson in resilience

In the beginning

Before the shaping

When everything was possible

I saw you

Highlighted by the sunset

Red-gold hair

Burning

A blaze of unfettered fire

Glorified in amber

A comet in a starless sky

Following its own path

To the edge of wonder

As the earth smell

Is lifted higher

Than the mountains

An aroma of Lavender

A blend of Camomile

I dissolve into the absolute

As my eyes behold

The majesty

Of my continuance

The scope of it

Love grows like wildflowers

In a lush green meadow

All around me

Is a wash of illusion

And I am happy

To find my way

Back home to you.
