The smell of air

naturemusictimelove

The smell of air

Blowing in from the sea

Tasting of salt

The Cutty sark

A silk trail caravan

The song of a lovelorn

Whale

Filtered through

A happy medium

Bent out of shape

As its density changes

Teasing the senses

As easy as dry sand

Sifting through toes

On a lazy day

When the world

Can wait

The cry of a newborn

As its lungs inflate

Breathing

Is so easy to take for granted

At sunrise

With a secret smile

Over guilt free coffee

When you know

How it feels

To be kissed

On the lips

By someone you love

For the first time

Be grateful

The feelings still linger

As a moment to savour

Touch them with a finger

Such intimacy

Are the gifts

Still held

In your heart

They may never

Happen again

But be thankful

They happened

At all.
