Three blue Elephants

Three blue Elephants
Nose to tail
Amble toward
A William Morris linen spray
Artfully placed
Decor
Shelved vinyl
And all that jazz
Sharing space with pictures
Art and books
In an office nook
Tucked way in a corner
Photographs
Carry so much more
Than their weight
Whispering
Tender moments
Through the cracks
In a letter rack
Old wood
Too small and fragile
To be of use
In a world of plastic wrap
Bubbles are made to pop
A private space
For meditation
Sitting without purpose
Waiting for words to tumble
Out from a stack of memories
Inspiration
A hesitant stumble
Before the Elephants
Enter the room.
