Time to remember

Time to remember

Unlock

A memory

Allow the essential essence

Of my existence

To bleed into dark corridors

Wash into empty rooms

Push against closed doors

Uncover blackened windows

Pour in stately progress

Through cobwebbed halls

Unstoppable

A tidal symphony of

Ambient delight

Polishing ornate finials

With several movements

Numbered

Out of sequence

Ringing rusty bells

Filling in the cracks

Recalling simple things

One note at a time

On a sliding scale

Recomposing

An existential melody

Blowing up a storm

To flush out the system

Scour the barnacle encrusted

Surfaces clean

Exfoliate the

Remains of old whispers

Perhaps they are not yet dead

But only sleeping

Smooth the way

For a slow dance

With a silent partner

No need for words

A warm glow

Of acceptance

A recognition of truth

An appreciation

That a soft kiss

From a lovers lips

Would be but enough

To unlock

A memory.
