Today would have been our 29th wedding anniversary.

Today would have been our 29th wedding anniversary.
Slip inside
There is a moment
Unguarded
As the dust of sleep
Falls from my eyes
When shadows cast
By sun and morning rising
Coalesce
There is a movement
Familiar
A ripple of air
The kiss as soft as silk
The tingle
Gently building
It flows across
My naked skin
The hot shower
Cleansing
Cobwebbed dreams
Momentarily refreshing
Ultimately depressing
As the lingering
Touch of you
Is washed away
Everyday
Will start this way
Slip inside
Let me hold you
In my soul
Until the next time.
