Two wine free nights in a row...well done me.

Two wine free nights in a row...well done me.

Drunken slumber

Numbs the soul

Deadens the spirit

Deprives the heart

Of its right to beat

In time to the rhythm

Of a daydream

Broken crystal

Cuts the skin

Sharpens splinters

Catches the light

Scatters rainbows

As freely as archetypes

In a bad dream

Sing me a lullaby

Fill it with love

Gentle is the song

Of the pacifier

Easing the senses

Finding

A moments peace

Amid the chaos

A reasoned space

For the sleep deprived

Glassy-eyed

But unconscious

No more
