Unlock the chain

lossnaturememoryloveidentitymortality

Unlock the chain

Let the shackles fall

Unbind the fettered limbs

Of the broken hearted

Once released

How high will a freed soul fly

In a fresh wind

Seeded with the bounty

Of a new start

Ready to fall on fertile ground

Tread carefully

First steps are always important

Stumble if you will

Reaching out for a saviour

May come to nought

But let not the absence

Of a helpmate deter

Your absolution

Strength lies

In a determination

To endure the tribulation

Of failure

And find success

In the process

Of endeavour

Aspiration is more than

A sweet dream of

Sweat and struggle

With a happy ending

Jingle the keys

They have a ring about them

The sound of hope

Can be lost

In the chaos

Throw me a rope

I will tie it around my waist

It will be a lifeline

Together

We will climb

Above the clouds

And find redemption
