Walk me through cornfields

griefnaturetimeidentitysolitude

Walk me through cornfields

Lay your hand upon my arm

Breathe a thimble full

Of sunbeam

Open your sorrowed eyes

To the rainbow

It will astound you

Walk me through morning

Shelter me beneath trees

Hold me closer

Than a dream

Talk me through silence

Before I fall

From this high ledge

Lay with me in tall grass

Whisper things

I used to know

They will come back

To haunt me

Lead me to a simple truth

A proof of life

Extant

Within a dream

I can’t let go
