Well look at me.

naturemusicmemorytimelovemortality

Well look at me.

Open your eyes to

The sun, reflected on the sea

A gleam in the eye

Of the morning

As it catches the wind

Holding it in reserve

The spark of a mayfly

Igniting the hedgerow

It burns with religious fervour

As the sky glows

With appreciation

The murmur

Of a secret

As the daffodils

Nod sagely

Passing their wisdom

To the honey bee

A collector of dreams

Held in storage

For a rainy day

Dragonflies dip

As swallows flip soundlessly

The buzz in the air

Is electric

The promise of May

Is a reminder

Write it down

Save it as hard copy

Remember I love you

Even today

When spring and autumn

Are as different

As North, from South

We can never have

One without the other

And love is

A potential

Of endless possibility.
