What does it say
griefnatureloveidentitymortality
What does it say
To you
The deepening ache
An ever present whisper
Of uncertain origin
The tear that falls
Unbidden
The stain of salt
On a pillow
The shadow in the corner
An imaginary friend
Always out of reach
The slow disintegration
The degradation
Of a broken heart
Beyond repair
Too many stitches
Have been undone
The wretched ease
Of tranquility
When the rage
Subsides
And the dust settles
On your eyelids
Sleep is an enemy
Of truth
Believing its lies
Is naivety
But wisdom is
Too late a hero
When nightmares
Are part and parcel
Of disease
