What matters?

losstimeloveidentity

What matters?

When the world turns,

People live their lives

Without us.

We all make plans

That contain

A universe.

Everyday,

It creates a billion

New thoughts

To play with.

Every now

And then

We connect

With someone else,

And new stars are born.

As time goes on

Our influence wanes,

Whilst our presence remains,

But the weight

We bear

Gets harder to carry.

Recovery is slower,

Energy is lost

Just keeping up.

And yet,

Nobody seems to notice,

But you.

Young bright things

Orbit each other,

Creating new systems,

That reflect,

A youthful glow,

Their perceptions

Of being,

As if for the first time.

And though,

They may

Hear what you say,

They will, still,

Go their own way,

Just as you did,

Before them.

And even though

The journey was tough,

And many times over,

Your best, was

Not quite good enough,

You arrived.

Survived.

Made it in time

To reach this point,

When in truth,

Whatever the cost,

And all that was lost,

It has been

One heck of a ride.

And with love in your heart

And luck on your side,

You would do it

All over again.
