When you stood by a window

naturemusicmemoryidentity

When you stood by a window

The sun in your hair

The fire in your eyes

Looking beyond what

I saw outside

There was a circus

Of the spectacular

With highwire performers

Trapeze acts

And dancing horses

There were shooting stars

In moonlight

Angels at midnight

The gods of Olympus

Refusing to die

As good knights fought

For the hand of a maiden

Of life in your eyes

As a metaphor

But you were an artist

And painted

The truth in the sky

It was more

Than a moment

To remember

It was an epiphany
