You roll with me

naturemusicpoliticsmemorytimelove

You roll with me

Down a grassy hill

Childlike

We run

Carefree

Through the wild meadow

Laughing like drains

Kicking the heads

From Dandelions

A shattered timepiece

Spinning in sunlight

A slow waltz

A thousand umbrellas

Looking for Mary

With her

Bottomless carpet bag

Latex oozing

From broken stems

What a waste

Of good rubber

Homeless Grasshoppers

Step in time

To the vibrations

As we tumble

Down toward the river

Stopping to

Throw pennies

Into a shallow pool

Wishing for a future

Heaven sent

Kissing languidly

Sweat from atop

Virtuous lips mingling,

As sweet as any

Lovemaking

Would ever after be

Innocent days

Before

Pipe dreams

Were swept clean

Remembered only lately

As a miracle

Of nature.
