Your kiss

naturepoliticsmemorytimeloveidentity

Your kiss

As I awake

Your warm breath

Lifts me

Higher than rooftops

Over tilted steeples

Floating on the wind

Between sun tossed trees

With twisted golden crisp dried leaves

Falling down onto the wetland

Spinning gently

In coordinated flight

A bright blue Damselfly

Rides in tandem

With his mate

As a Swallow dips

To take its fill

There is no thrill

To the kill

In nature

But it can be overwhelming

Raindrops ripple

The crystal waters

Of a landscaped

Trout mere

Midges swarm

In the mizzle

As the sun burns

Through

Rolling ground mist

Slowly last night’s

Sleep falls from my eyes

And you remain

My everlasting memory.
