A pretty face

naturemusicmemorytimeloveidentity

A pretty face

Can turn a head

Through a little over

One hundred and eighty

Turn a life upside down

Make a rash choice

The prime directive

Until the heart breaks

And the walls fall in

A good argument

Can change a mind

For a moment

Influence an attitude

It is not a break with the past

But an interlude

The heart

Is a matter of fact and

Has a belief system

All of its own

Choosing its own music

Singing a torch song

Crying a river

Doing a jitterbug

When everyone else

Is taking five

Playing a rhythm

Out of time

It is a ballet dancer

Trying out new steps

In a Jazz club

If you want to

Change its tune

You have to

Lend it a little soul

Lean a little closer

Move slowly

The art of persuasion

Is an easy sway

Not a lindy hop

To make a lasting transition

Carry the heart

An enhanced mood

Is heat exchange

For a seed change

It needs love.
