As circulation slows

As circulation slows

You will feel cold

Air or blood

It is no matter

Each need to move

To be refreshed

Warm air rises

Water expands,

As it freezes

Ice floats

Pipes burst

Blood vessels need

To be kept warm

A cold heart

Is an arterial bleed

Away from

A cardiac arrest

If you lock it up

Throw away the key

There will be no reprieve

For good behaviour

In isolation

Reach out

We are not self-sufficient

A warm body

Held closely

Gives efficient heat exchange

A pressure valve will

Regulate the release of

Endorphins

Flushing the system

With good humour

We are plumbing

With soul.
